Dear God,

What an incredible privilege, what an honor, what a personal blessing that You have invited me to come into Your very presence through prayer. Forgive me for the times when I have not been faithful to pray because I thought I was too busy. Forgive me for the times that I have lacked the faith to believe that prayer changes the world—and that prayer changes me.

God, I acknowledge that I need to pray for my own spiritual well-being and for the various needs in my life. I also know there are friends and family who need my prayers. There is a lost and hurting world that needs me to be a prayer warrior.

I recommit myself right now to being a person of prayer. I will pray alone and with others. I will pray morning, noon, and night. I will voice words to You and I will be silent to listen for Your voice. Thank You that more and more I will become the person You want me to be through Your gracious invitation to talk with You each day.
